Police E-bike Compliance Training
This course is for police officers, PCSOs and other police staff involved with the enforcement, transport and storage of illegally used & non-compliant e-bikes.
What does the course cover?
The course teaches attendees about the laws on and how to identify different types of e-bikes, including road legal and compliant e-bikes, non-compliant electric 'bikes' and electric motorcycles. The course also covers battery safety and risk management, transport and storage best practice.
- UK legislation relating to EAPCs (Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycles)
- Identification of compliant and non-compliant e-bikes, electric motorcycles and e-scooters
- Understanding key components such as motors, batteries and control units
- Lithium-ion battery risks and safe storage practices
- Safe handling, transport and storage of seized vehicles and batteries
- Case studies from recent enforcement activity

This is a one day course.

The cost of the course is £350 (no VAT) per candidate.
